1. Information We Collect

When you use Item Forge, we may collect the following information:

• Account information: When you sign in via Google or GitHub, we receive your email address and display name from the authentication provider.
• Items and collections: Items you create, their metadata (name, type, rarity, stats, images), and how you organize them into collections.
• Generated images: Images created through the Service are stored in our cloud storage and associated with your account.
• Prompts: Custom prompts and configuration you provide for item generation.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and maintain the Service
• Save and sync your items and collections across devices
• Display your public items in the community gallery
• Generate AI content based on your prompts and preferences

3. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on the following third-party services that may process your data:

• Supabase: Authentication, database storage, and file storage. Your account data and items are stored in Supabase infrastructure.
• Anthropic (Claude): Item text generation. Your prompts are sent to Anthropic's API to generate item descriptions and stats.
• Google (Gemini / Imagen): Image generation. Item descriptions are sent to Google's API to generate artwork.
• OpenAI (DALL-E): Image generation. Item descriptions may be sent to OpenAI's API to generate artwork.
• Vercel: Hosting and deployment of the web application.

Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data. We encourage you to review their policies.

4. Local Storage

If you use the Service without an account, your items are stored in your browser's local storage. This data remains on your device and is not sent to our servers. If you later create an account, locally stored items can be migrated to your account.

5. Cookies

The Service uses essential cookies for authentication session management. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Items you mark as public are visible to other users of the Service. We may share data with third-party services as described above solely to provide the Service's functionality.

7. Data Retention

Your account data and items are retained as long as your account is active. Deleted items are soft-deleted and retained for 30 days before permanent removal. You may request full deletion of your account and associated data at any time.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and data
• Export your items (via JSON export in the Share dialog)
• Make your items private at any time

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
